I have a 6.9. I have had a foot of water inside the cab, and I am up on 38's. Under the seat wouldn't do me any good. I had at the same time water over the front corner of my hood. That was the day I pulled two trucks out at the same time. I sure was proud that day. (And a little scared when the front corner of my hood disappeared!)
don't put it in your cab.i did that and it's real noisy, and you get gas smell in the cab.i'm taking mine out.i agree with uncle stosh with all the other mods to.the factory air cleaner does a great job keeping water from splashing into the carb.plus your fuel economy will suffer ,imagine your self running down the street breathing through a diving snorkle and see how hard it would be.your truck will run rich .
