The start button is probably kind of like the remote start I have on my truck. Push the button on the remote and the truck starts. But before you go can drive the truck you have to put the key in and turn it to ON because there is a kill switch hooked into the brakes, and the second you push the brake pedal in the truck dies if the key isn't in it and ON. That way no one can steal it while it's sitting there running.

An F-18 could be considered to have messy dash too, but I would trade a ******** for a test drive (fly) in one. The same could be said for 77460ford's truck.
If I had a BB on nitrous, I would want plenty of gauges to keep tabs on it. And redundant gauges to keep an eye on the regular gauges should they fail.
And switches... Lots of switches... Neatly arranged switches.

there are tastefull ways of doing things and I, personally, do not think the gauges and switches were tastefully placed, besides the fact the metal dash was hacked into, a cheap gauge pod is screwed towards the bottom, and the plastic bezel looks chessy.
I would have just made some sort of center column and put the gauges there and lined the gauges up up along the left side.

Hmmm, I start a post on a topic of installing a starter button. I preface it with the statement that it is not for everyone and for those interested they can have the info. to help out from someone who did one.
Now I get "Non-offensive" slagging of my truck. I looked and don't see where I stated I have a show truck or was looking for input on how to style it. For the past 15 years this old truck has evolved from dump runs to mud bogs and now a street beast. I continue to work away at it and will make changes and share any successes or pitfalls to help others. Critical opinions are useful but I usually ask for them when required.

mwvdub; the timing controller was used for insurance. The truck likes 94 octane or better but if I take some timing out it will live on 91. This way if I'm away from home and I get a bad load of fuel I can just dial back a little timing to keep the motor happy. The nitrous uses a MSD retard box and window switch to look after the timing issues.

I personally like what you've done. Without losing the radio location, the gauge mounting is functional and doesn't require cutting up the dash. Looks good to me.
And keeping on topic, the red starter button in the chrome bezel against the blue dash is SWEET!! Looks like it belongs there.
God forbid I ever have to post pictures of the dash in my Bronco. Stock gauges, switches placed where ever, manual throttle control, 5 year old mud splatters, winch control ran across and wrapped around the steering column. Missing the glovebox and the door...
I can feel the heat already.
