A slightly used 9422 will be just as good as a new one.
These little rifles are almost indestructable! (And a lot of fun, plus accurate!)

this looks like a newer model that the one I have, Mine is a 8 point wideview but I gotta say it's been a good scope. ... Simmons 4x32 8 Point Rifle Scope

In my humble opinion, I believe the Winchester model 72 is by far the most accurate and long lasting .22 there is or ever will be. Mine was bought by my grandfather. Knowing him he shot 20,000 rounds through it. My Dad inherited it. He shot another 10,000 rounds through it. I now have it. I started shooting it when I was 9, humm lets see... that would be 1961. I have used that rifle a lot since. I guess I have shot another 20,000 rounds through it.
I shot it at a paper target, at 100 yards just two months ago. I had a nice beer can group.
Great gun, but not produced anymore, and damn hard to find.
Best bet is the Marlin 60. I have one of those also. Great rifle.
