i'm always looking at these spotlights at the swapmeets (this weekend included) and since i'm currently doing the bodywork on my truck, i thought this would be the time to mount one..........
so i just bought this of ebay(haven't recieved yet)....seller say's it the correct one.
does it look like the corrent one to you guys?
I'm also mounting my "jr. west coast" style mirrors, would anyone have a picture of were this thing was mounted at? steering wheel is out of my truck, but i assume it's located higher?.......
That does appear to be correct, at least it looks to be the same as the one on mine. It is a tight fit to clear the steering and other stuff. Here are some pics that may help, I also have West Coast style mirrors. Not real close-ups, if you need measurements let me know
Yes it is. The lights, shafts and handles were interchangeable among vehicles, and the only part that was unique to a vehicle was the mounting bracket. That's the piece that mounts to the front pillar and in your picutre is just to the left of the end of the wire. On the 48-52 (and other) trucks, that is a #66 bracket and if you look on the back there should be a 66 stamped into it. There is a drilling jig and a pattern that will tell you the exact location to drill the retaining screws, then the jig screws into those holes for drilling the shaft hole at the correct angle. I just replaced my 5 inch with 6 inch on both sides...here's some pics and a link to the UNITY company who mad the lights and carries any part:
Nice to know I'm not the only one concidering a spotlight like that. I've been eyeing them up on ebay and thought they would be the perfect touch on my F-3.
i'm thinking a spotlight with my Jr. west coast mirrors will go good with my flatbed.......
i really intend to keep it pretty plan, we'll see.
i'll post some test pics when i get temp. mounted....
I'm happy, I just won myself a FORD script Unity spotlight on Epay
52'F-3 I'll be curious to see your pics since I also have a set of west coast mirros to go on mine as well
congrats and the Ford spotlight........
here's what i've got going on currently..........just waiting for my light to get delivered, and figure out where to mount it.

If you need any info or a copy of the pattern, I could try to get a copy on the thread or you - just let me know!
Is the pattern something that can be emailed or posted? Oh, it does look like the numbers 66 are cast into the underside of the bracket (kind of hard to be 100% sure)
also, anyone know where i can order a 12 volt bulb this light?
