alt options?
i have a 2005 f-350 4x4 6.0 psd. i am going to put a winch sterio and a bunch of off road lights on my truck. i am woundering what kind of alternator options are? on the new models theirs a dual alt option and a 300 amp alt option are their any options like this on a 2005 truck?

Well are you gonna be pulling yourself out of the muck at midnight lighting the area up like it's noon while rocking out as loud as your amps will push?
Snowplow package came with an upgraded single alternator, which sould run that kind of stuff without any problems. But before you change it out fingure out how many amps you're going to draw and make sure you actually need to upgrade.

I have a 230 amp alt from HO alternators/Metra/tsunami. It's 100 amps over the stock one my truck came with and was a direct replacement aside from the big three upgrade. Because of the 230 amp output, I went with 1/0 gauge wire for charge, engine-chassis, and chassis-battery.
