What do you guys think would be the better way to deal with the 4.19 and raising fuel cost? WVO Bio or a motorcycle. I know before long restruants will be selling thier WVO so the bio wont be as cheap as it is now. The problem with a motorcycle is all the other idiots on the roads. Plus I think my truck will hate me if I dont drive it everyday, I didnt drive it for 3 days one time and she stared at me weird everytime I walked by. lol.ThanksJohn
i plan on getting a bike as soon as i can afford it. i also need to learn to control my temper. my need for speed dramatically increases with anger. haha the downside to a bike is you cant drive it when it rains or even if you think it might rain. at least you dont have to deal with snow down in FL. but in the end its all about what you want.
I'm lucky that I have a friend who makes Bio & hooks me up pretty regular. I already have a bike so I ride it when ever I can & save the truck for when I need it. I waited to long to find this truck to get rid of it now.
another option is a gear vendors if you do alot of highway. its cheaper and safer than a bike. im not sure if its cheaper than a bio conversion or not. but just another option
I dont do a whole lot of highway driving so i dont think a gearvendors would doa lot of good for me. The only thing that makes me turn away form a bike is what Coon said. If i can find a few places to get WVO then i will do that but if not then ill get a bike but i will probaly get one anyhow. I just hate having to watch out for everyone else on the road.
Get the bike, it's fun and will help save miles off your truck. You still will have your truck so drive it on weekends or whenever you feel like it but a bike is great alternative to +$4 gallon diesel
Ya I think im gunna get a bike. A few buddies are thinking about getting one too so it will be something to do on the weekends. And i will be able to get stage 2s and not have to worry about daily driving it.
Truck or motorcycle your choice not mine ,,,,,,,,,,, but heres my short story Riding a 85 H-D soft tail clear blue sky sunny day 60 mph down a pin straight 4 lane highway suddenly Joe Idiot out of no where does a U turn and wham I slam into the drivers side front fender of his car then get thrown air borne and unconcious into the south bound lane damn lucky I did not get run over by the traffic , I wake up on the hot concrete road cover in blood busted both arms and my right foot was squashed like an accordian and pointing backwards, shattered 5 teeth, arms hands and face was road rash and had a back ache for 3 years straight,,,,,,,,,,, I have not riden or owned a road bike since that day and that was 21 years ago and my right foot is still messed up and as for Joe Idiot he had no injuries........
I think that as prices go up you are going to see a lot more Bikes on the road. I've been riding for 15+ years & wouldn't trade my bike for the world. It's true you have to be more aware, but I've found it has made me a better driver as well. If you go the bike route, take a motorcycle safety course to learn the do's & don'ts.
Ya everyday I see more and more bikes on teh road. Probaly gunna sign up for the class tomarrow. I was pretty set on getting a bike becuase it was just easier and more convinent. Im still going to look into the bio more and ask around some restruants hopefully ill be able to do that too.
i ride, i cant go without a bike, durring the realy nice monthes i put alot of miles on my bike, unfortunatly in north dakota the riding season can be somewhat short
I bought an old Honda Civic hatchback for $800 about a year and a half ago. That thing paid for itself in no time, even when taking the extra insurance into account. No, it's nowhere near as safe in an accident as your pickup, but safer than a motorcycle and it works rain or shine. It gets double the mileage of my PSD. Pretty cheap to maintain too, I got 4 new tires installed for less than $200 out the door.
