Got a 97 with a funny leak. I have 87K miles I only put about 2000 miles a year and I'm due for a oil change. The leak looks like fresh oil and smells like it also but my dipstick for the engine, tranny,p steering all look fine. The color of the leaking oil is yellow but clean looking.
Thanks ahead of time
If unable to trace it from oil seen, run it awhile w/AC on, park it on a clean dry surface overnight & look for drips, then look up & trace. AC oil usually has indicator in it that glows under UV light.
Recently a thread reported yellowish oil spewing out & was traced to an AC oil leak at the compressor. The cause was found to be rusted out long bolts holding the unit together!
