Question about DRW's

I have a 1995 Ford F-350 Psd CrewCab Dually. I need to get it into the shop and do some routine maintence and would like to put it on a lift.. My problem is the shop I have access to on base door clearence is about 95 1/2" wide the truck From fender to fender. So it doesn't look like it will clear the door. my question is How do I remove the fenders? It looks like they are bolted on but I'm also seeing welds. but the way it as if the Fender stops before the welds.. But I'm not exactly sure and wanted to check before I wasted mine and a couple of buddies time. or the other option is to drive a 160 miles one way to another base where I can pull right in with the mirrors and all. and with diesel sitting at $4.15 right now in the big country, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense if I don't have to. Thanks for the help guys

Vance

Actually, I think there are only four main bolts holding the entire bed on. Remove the bed.

I'm with bones, just pull the bed. If you have a couple of buddies there it shouldn't be a problem to lift, just some electrical connectors and the fuel fill line. But there are 8 bolts I think? T50 torx bits.

There should be an easier way to remove the fenders than removing the bed. Some car haulers remove the fenders and the outside rear duals to load them on their trucks. Any car haulers out there?

I have removed mine (a 1999 ) there are studs in the fiberglass part that go through the the bed side with nuts to secure them I don't imagine that a OBS would be that much different. Just get under the bed and reach up and feel around the outline of the fiberglass part and see if you find them.

LoL very funny.no actually I'm doing routine maintence and fixing a couple things that I've let go too long (thermosat, lights, tranny fluid change brakes etc etc... and I got something wrong with my left rear drum sounds like metal to metal contact. and since I don't know a whole lot about them I'll ask someone who does. don't be making of me it hurts my feelings

P.S. I wouldn't call Jiffy Lube if I was dying on my death bed. I just had to eat $300 For an Oil Cooler adapter because some dumbarse cracked it and not only that but had the oil filter gasket on backwards and the filter not on tight lost damn near over 10 quarts of oil. Never again will anyone be touching my truck but me unless that E40d decides to fail thats about the only thing I won't mess with.

If you do remove the bed, I'll pass on a recommendation I read earlier on the forum. Get a brass hammer and beat the crap out out of each bed bolt maybe 3 or 4 strikes to break it free. Should come off easily after that, mine did.

I am still wondering why you need to go through all that lifting and stuff to do maint on your truck. I do everything myself to my truck and never lifted it. But then again, if I had a lift, I guess I would use it.
