Why did my engine stall....

Hello every one,
Well to day my dad and my I installed new rotors and went for a test drive to do the break in for the new pads and rotors. So we decide to have a little Fun and do a burnout. So we find a place put in 140 smoke hit the brake and bunch it the tires light up and it gets to 900 degerss and 20 pounds of boost and then Quite the engine died. And I am thinking thrown rod after I just read the story about the other FTE member that threw a rod but it started right back up. So my question is why did it do that,
Thanks
Nick

Did it quit while you were still on the throttle or when you let it idle down?

I don't think so because we were screwing around earlier on 140 and nothing happened

Did it happen to shift during this, if so it probably ended up with too much air, and not enough power/fuel to keep it going. If you windowed the block you would know, it makes some funny noises when a rod is just flapping around.

torque converter was locked and stalled the engine becuase the vehicle was not moving when you lifted on the throttle. Only thing I can think of.
