v-10 automatic ?s (2002)

I changed the fluid in my superduty v 10 trans the other day. Is there a drain plug in the torque converter on these? I "bumped" the engine over numerous times with the starter, and couldnt the plug anywhere. I looked through the inspection plate, at the flywheel, to see if I could find one there and couldnt. I also looked through the hole in the bottom of the bellhousing. My 5.4 liter SD had one. Where is the temperature sending unit for these transmissions? My gauge doesnt cool down. It doesnt overheat. It goes right to warm after sitting for long periods of time (overnight).

Only the very first 2002s had a drain plug. Ford eliminated it right after the start of the 2002 model year.

The temperature sender is on the solenoid body. A new one isn't going to change the way the gauge works. It is programmmed to go to the middle of normal at 50F, and stay there until the trans hits 230F.
