Hey guys, Appreciate the info I received from my last post. I have a problem with my 2003 f-250 6.0. Last night my wife and I went out for a nice spring evening drive in East Tn. My horn on the truck just started blowing steady. I thought I hit the panic button on fob but pressing remote did nothing. I had to take out the fuse to stop the horn. Any ideas as to what the problem might be would sure help. I recently had the steering column shift lever replaced due to the overdrive not engaging so I wondered if something in this area might be shorted. Maybe its payback for beeping at the slow drivers! Thanks
I would say definatly in steering column. I had a Bronco that did the same thing. It was the spring loaded contacts behind the steering wheel that shorted to ground. Mine was at a stop light in the middle of traffic, just started blowing. Got some really funny looks, especially when smoke started coming out of the column.
Thanks EZ-Ford, I recently had the shifter on the column replaced so maybe that had something to do with this happening. I will let the mechanic take a look. I usually don't tackle anything too technical. Appreciate your response.

Just Read Your Thread And Noted You Related You Replaced The Shifter Because Your Overdrive Was Not Working. Can You Exspand On This Part Of Your Note. My Transmission Is Working Great Just Cannot Get Button To Work On Gear Shifter On Column,
Sorry to respond to cashcraft so late. The shifter on column was replaced along with a sensor in tranny to fix the overdrive problem of not engaging. Following that repair, the horn just started on its own and I had to remove the # 37 fuse to stop it. I left it out for several months and just reinstalled the fuse and the horn is operating normal now. Must be a short. Anyway, I have just sold the truck to my son and I will find out from him if he has any more trouble. Thanks for your response.
