how much can it tow? has a 429 (rated 250 hp @ 4300 & 371 ft lbs tq @ 2430) c-6 trans (stainless gears) dana 70 with 3.73 ratio.no lift stock hd tires. it is 2wd.
You will be entering a really expensive fine area towing something over 10,000 lbs unless you have a truck that is set up with what is called Combination Weight.
In short, you have to liscense your truck to handle the entire load of trailer and truck. The weight cops love to get people in this area. It is an easy pinch.
Does what you want to tow look like 15,000 lbs? Or is is a travel trailer?
As far as will it do it? I would say it depends more on the driver then it does the truck. The human behind the wheel can make or break any truck.
I tow 13,000lbs plus behind a 3/4 ton 250 miles 12 times a year. 10 times a year it is through mountainous terrain and pulling a very steep 3 mile mountain. i take it easy and pull the mountain in the cooler hours of the day. And i am doing this with a NOT FORD. I am building an F350 to do the same job though and can't wait till it is done.

my 429 is out of a ford torino i believe. why would u be concerned about my stopping power? it has 12.56 in front disks and 14 inch rear drums, 4 12in electric trailer drums.is that not enough?
