Vapor lock

My 80 Bronco with a 460 engine started vapor locking, after replacing the fuel pump, what a pain that was, and rerouting the fuel lines and one real nice carb fire and no luck with the vapor lock problem, had a new set of eyes look it over, my son, the exhaust had a hole in the pipe behind one of the mufflers and blowing exhaust on the frame on the other side where the fuel line was. New exhaust and problem gone, just sometime a new set of eyes are good.

How Hot is there then ?

Usually vapour lock happens when it is 100* F

How rubber fuel line sucking air ?

Temp in Portland that day was in the 70's, but with the exhaust blowing on the fuel lines, it was HOT under the truck.
