carburator vapor locking
I have problems on my 1969 f250 with a 390 with the fuel vapor locking either in the carburator or in the fuel line that runs right in front of the engine. If I run it for a while and get the engine good and hot and I shut it off, then if I wait about 5 minutes, then it is very hard for it to start. I have to pump the throttle hundreds of times because it isn't getting any gasoline. Any suggestions about this problem.

and the 67-72 forum.
A 1" phenolic spacer under my carb, stopped that issue for me. Also added performance to the truck. I would highly recommend it for your truck.
