I recently did my Ball joints. This eliminated a bad clunk. However, I still occasionally have a clank in the front end and I suspect Sway Bar Bushings. Does anybody have some good pics of what this job would entail?
I went to the dealer and bought new link ends 67.00 each and also bought new sway bar bushings that go on the bar to frame. I didn't want to go through the changing of the bushings nightmare. Also the parts guy said the bushings were not replaceable. We have the big links on our truck.
The install was take the nuts off pull the bar, put the new bars on and reinstall the nuts. No jacking truck up.

That's what I did..........Much easier than trying to change just the bushings
Yep, every time I hit a bump or hole in the road. I could feel it through the drivers floorboard. You could just Take the end links off and tie the bar up and drive it around to see if that is what is wrong. Look at the bushings, mine were all riped apart. Lots of people do this to make sure they need changing.
I got my sway bar bushings from energy for like $30 something for the whole kit and did them myself. Getting the bushings out wasnt that bad, but it was all a 12ton press wanted.
i drilled out the center of my old bushings..then took a sawzal and made 2 cuts into it being careful not to cut the link,,,then i smacked them out with a hammer and a old socket....all said and done start to clean up was 2 hrs...
