200 F250 trans issue (electronics)
I looking for help.
Brought my F250 to texas, had problems with the trans dropping in and out of overdrive. Brought it to a dealership who changed the solenoid assembly. brought it back to chicago and it did nothing. I'm skiddish after $500 of thanks for nothing... symtoms are as follows
Manually shut off the OD and the trans works fine...sucks the gas though.
Only does it when hot. If we feel it beginning to go in and out of OD ... we can pull off and shut her down for a few. that works usually for a couple hours of drive time back to normal.
If you don not shut it off at all during gas stops etc... makes the problem worse!
It's only and overdrive issue !
any suggestions would help...thanks

i have the same problem with my 2001 f250 they are replacing the transmission sometime this week. the truck olny has 25000 miles on it my trans mechanic says that the olny thing that could be done is replace it or compleatly rebuild it

they power flushed mine a few weeks ago and nothing changed on the way back from the dealer the trans started it up again
