door locks are possessed
can anyone help please? My doors will not stay locked. I will lock the doors and within 5 to 15 seconds all the doors will unlock again, it doors not matter witch method I use to lock them interior lights come on and doors unlock and continue to so the interior light keeps turning on. I've parked in the same place for two years, I even tried to park down the block to make sure it wasnt some sort of interference, left my transmitter in the house where it is out of range. The only way I could get it to stop was to remove the battery. Anyone out there have any ideas?

You are looking for pink w/ yellow stripe and pink w/a green stripe I believe the yellow striped wire is the one that controls the lock function also to isolate the problem take off your jack comp lid and look for the relay box above the rear fender well this is the rear most point of that wire, When you are having the problem cut that wire and see if the problem goes away. These are triggered by a ground and tend to get the worst of this water isssue. Now to fix the real problem open the driver door and at the jamb look at the point on top where the roof meets the A pillar and see if that the weatherstrip has pulled away from the body on the body side This is the door weatherstrip but you will be looking on the back side toward the body if you can see a gap or tell where this is pulled away get some sealer( I ued black RTV )and seal all areas where it looks like rain could enter. Hope this helps let us know!!!

Getting to the security box is a real pain have to remove the whole panel, had to do it once before to get the door lock codes for the keyless entry. I want to try to isolate the unlock wire, that's the one that was cycling, just don't know if it's the one running to the gem from the rear box or if it's the switch in the rear hatch running to the gem, I think there is a wiring schem in my Hayes but I can't seem to find it at the moment. Thanks for your help I let you know when I find it, I would assume that a wire must be frayed or cracked because water wasn't puddled in the truck just alot of moisture in the wire track.
