Well it wasn't the fuel pressure. After i changed the FPR the pressure dropped down to normal but there was no change in the way it ran. I can hear the injector ticking but it must be stopped up or something. I guess ive got to take the whole intake off to get to it don't I ?
have you changed the fuel filter? gas only has a 6 mth shelf life, and probably has everything gumed up. change the filter, then run some sea foam through it, 1/2 through the vaccume line, rest through the fuel tank. I would replace #6 spark plug wire as well
Yeah I changed the fuel filter. The new one probably doesn't even have 10 miles on it. About the spark plugs, I've taken the wire and plug out of a cylender that worked and swapped them and cylnder 6 still misses and the other still runs. So I don't think it's a spark issue and it has good compression so that leaves me with the fuel. I'll get some sea foam and run it through and maybe it'll clear it up. Thanks for your input.
Well I put new fuel injectors in and the miss is gone. Now it is running smooth everywhere but at idle. It's even running pretty smooth there except every 3 to 5 seconds there seems to be a tiny miss or something. Not even a miss really more like a half miss. Lol It may be the timing or may just need to be ran a bit to let the computer learn the new injectors. All in all the engine is running the best it ever has since I've had it. It has a lot more power than I thought it would have also. All thats left to do is fix the trasmission shift rail leak and put the new shift tower seal and bushings in and I will be set.
Hey guys. It seems that the miss/stumble at idle is getting a little worse now. I did a koer test and it is throwing a engine rich code. Any ideas what could cause it. Im going to put a new o2 sensor in tonight and see what that does for it. Im also still getting the spout circuit open code. ?? Spout jumper is in place and the terminals don't have any rust on them and the wires seem to be in good shape. Any ideas on this?
