Earthquake!

Anyone in Evansville In. (I think)? They had a 5.4 earthquake early this morning and we were woke up by it also and we are 20 miles west of Nashville Tn.!!! My wife woke me up and thought someone was breaking into our house as it was a mild shaking sensation that rattle the house for about 10-15 seconds. Pretty weird, I can't remember ever feeling any kind of quake in this area before.

My wife just called me and told me that. I said that must be what woke me up at 5:30 LOL. She said it was felt as far away as Michigan.

Yeah they said some felt it north of me even. I didn't feel a thing that I remember. Course I think I did wake up around that time to go to the bathroom who knows! I am hoping it leveled my house in Silver Lake so I don't have to worry about selling it anymore!! LOL

Wow...
Ok, so an earthquake isnt that big of a deal to me, Having been in about a dozen or so, including The San Francisco earthquake of 1989...
Guess thats just a byproduct of living in california.

I felt it here...30 miles North od Detroit. I was laying inn bed just about to get up when the bed started moving. I didn't know if I was still sleeping or what? I had a flash back to the last earthquake I felt here in 80 or 82....naw..couldn't be, could it? Then the morning news came on. Pretty rare occasion around here.

I was in high school, so it must have been around 1980 to 82 and there was a fairly sizeable quake back then. That one was centered in missouri if I remember correctly. I felt that one real good here in Ky.

This one I slept through. My wife however, was awake. She said her alarm went off and she said the floor was creaking so she thought I was going to the bathroom. Then she realized I was still sleeping (thanks to my snoring). She knew what it was after realizing I was still in bed.
