Hey guys, I don't want to violate posting policies here, but I'm just getting really annoyed at trying to sell my old 5er. Been for sale for 6 months, low price and all. Has anyone been in the same boat and been able to sell? Any advice?
You're not violating FTE's policy unless you try to sell it through the use of the forums. You are free to vent all you want.
Mom's been trying to sell hers for nearly a year. Hasn't had an offer that will cover what she owe's on it. I've got it set up in the back yard as MIL housing.
Normally good advertising does the trick. Craig’s list is popular, try that, but make sure you have pictures, major local paper is the best though, IMO. Check the price too, you may think it is low, but call couple of people that selling same product and compare.
My Grandma had a big motorhome that she tried to get a decent price out of for a long time about a year ago... ended up selling it for about $6000 loss because nobody would pay what she owed. Hopefully you don't end up in the same boat.
i have been trying to sell a fully furnished 1979 golden falcon for about 3 months. asking $4500 OBO and I am shocked it hasn't moved yet.
the couple of people who seemed really interested are waiting for their income tax check & stimulus check. everyone is right. the way prices are on everything right now, people just don't want to spend money so easily.
I had a 89 harley sportster 1200 with all the bells and whistles drag bars, chrome, custom paint, new tires, the works.I rode it for 4 years or so then my youngest was born. It was paid for but didn't have the time for riding. I would put it out on the front yard,in newspapers. Had a couple bites but people wanted it for nothing. So i kept it for another 2 years. I moved out to the country, set it up in the front yard during a yard sale and whamo, guy down the street bought it for a grand less than i was asking. He was happy, i was happy. But yes, times are tuff.
