that motor has to be a 5.4 dohc 4 valve motor as ford has only made the v10 in a 2 valve and 3 valve motor.

superchargers! SORRY GUY! no one makes any kits, for well over a year now 'closer to 2 now" and don't even have kits left over sitting on the self. but those who did get one have loved it. skip has a whipple, another has a kenny bell. ask them and you will be told to goes from being a mild mannered lady to a rocket ship under boost

v10 into a mustang YES! we used to have a member who did the job, but also stated to much for the street.

if you want more power go to gale banks as i can truely say their products do work, sound great, let you close the windows and not hear loud exhaust vibrate/reverb. inside killing your ears. headers are a waste of cash. all that money for a 3 rwhp gain.

don't yank or gut the cats. mr. long arm. is getting very upity about them not being where they should be or make a very well know noise that they are gutted. remember it's a both state, local and fed law that they can not be removed or altered, those of us already in the green states that follow CA's CARB laws all know all to well, plus i found the 3 valve 10 needed the back presser to run properly.

exhaust sounds/noise, guys the man has a list of things he can write a ticket for. the one that got me for was one called DRIVE BY sound levels. in NJ it's something like under 80db's. if the officer feels it's too loud he or she can write you. and here in N.J. where i live in the 4 days i had a big named company from canada's, 4 inch dual system on my 05 10er .in few those days i got 4 tickets for driveby sound level. cost of the fines came to over $300.00. off it came and onto a 05 psd where it did sound good and was truely made for.not just a new behind the cat pipe made so it would fit.

we even tryed cold air kits.on the dyno rollers we found the stock air box and filter worked just as well as the kit

on a older truck v10 just going to a banks exhaust kit and changeing the rear axle gears to 4:30's will give you a totally diferent street legal drivable truck, speak up guys before you buy and waste money email some of us old farts for good advise or ask if we had tried it?. we don't bite! right art?

More likely than a V10 in and F150 is the ECO boost technology Ford is talking about. Ford is putting twin turbos on their gas engines for more power and better fuel economy, along with direct fuel injection, replacing power steering pumps with electric pumps etc. Now I would like to see the twin turbos on my V10.

I don't think the smaller displacement Ecoboost engines will do squat for mpg in a truck. In the F-150 the 4.2l V6 and the 4.6l is supposed to get identical mpg. Ford can't make a turbo live on a diesel let alone a gasser. Brand new complicated Ecoboost technology with turbos, direct injection and etc, sounds like a warrenty work nightmare to me. The 6.0l PS comes to mind.

I doubt there is anything bigger than a regular plain jane 4.6 in that F150... It looks like it just has the tags for a DOHC V10 on it. The exhaust was just to small for even a 2 valve V10.

If I had a DOHC V10 monster under the hood the last thing I would do is advertise it. I'd make ricers and stangs learn the hard way.

After I bought my V10 I starting thinking I would like to get one to put in my 61 F100. Dress up the f100 with bodywork and a nice paint job. Considering the size of the rear wheelwells I wouldn't have even had to tub the thing to get huge rear tires plus I would've been removing a 600+lb 292Y-block and brick of a 3-speed. The truck also already was running a factory ford 9-inch that would've needed re-geared from the 3.70's up to something more fun

1999 F150 with a 2004 F350 V10 6.8L motor
( V10 Swap - F150online Forums )

I have been currently in the process of building a f250 from the chassis up (donor parts from my rolled 03 ford excursion) While I was on my way to buy doors today for the f250 rebuild I saw a guy who was selling a f150 with a blown motor for less that the cost of doors, so I figured I would look a round to see if my V10 would even fit in the engine compartment. While searching I found a forum where a guy talks through his conversion. He the only real modification he had to do in order to make it work was he had to change the motor mounts...

I am still considering doing the same.

You should pull that guy over and ask him where he got a ford test mule engine from. As far as I know there was only 3 in existence.
