I'm not to picky about spelling, grammar. and punctuation.
I type the way I talk; since I don't talk like a typical twenty something retard I don't type that way. (Check out that sweet use of a semicolon, boo-ya.)
I really think it would benefit some folks if they read out loud what they just typed. You can get a real good idea of how messed up something sounds when you say it out loud.
For the most part I visit FTE for help with all my Ford Truck related needs. I feel if you're seeking help for a problem it really helps if others can decipher what you've wrote. Use of vivid details, along with a "Thank you", and the exchange of positive rep will get you a long way on FTE. If I start reading a thread and can't understand what the hell they're saying then I don't help them. If someone can't take the time to properly explain the symptoms then why should I waste my time responding with the cure?
P.S. If you really want to see spelling and grammar use at its finest just do a search for posts by the user in Tims sig.
I'm particularly annoyed at the abject disregard for the proper use of capitalization. Sentences begin with a capital letter. Am I sorry if anyone is offended by this? Not really. I am convinced that "ya'll" is a good word. So is "ain't" and "butt ugly".
This isn't a spelling peeve, but my friend does this ALL THE TIME and it drives me up the wall. If he's playing a game and he beats you, he'll tell everyone within ear shot, "hey, I just WON him at this game!"
If your english is so bad that you can't tell the difference between "beat" and "won", then pick up an english book and brush up on your skills!!
Annoys me when people, if they have a bug bite or rash, say they have to "itch it". No you "scratch it" because it "itches".
If you all want to see spelling and grammer at its finest check out this link sometime. WKSR.com
You should cruise some of the Warez and P2P forums I read. The grammar is bad, and the spelling is even worse.... I just shake my head, and ignore most of it now.
