Getting the Tranny Rebuilt

My build day for the BTS tranny is tomorrow!!! I am extremely excited to speak with and pay Brian. My wife on the other hand, well that is a different story. Her Bday is Saturday and here I am paying for a new transmission. As soon as I pay, I will let everyone know how much my wife's present cost me.

I just spoke to a friend of mine that works for ford, he told me that another tech was going through transmissions left and right and that he had to upgrade to a motorcraft HD trans. Anyone hear of them making a HD trans?

I tried e-mailing them I think thursday night but they haven't gotten back to me yet, though I know they wont until probably monday or tuesday. Those transmissions are big money, I was trying to find out if he'd sell me just the parts so I can have my friend rebuild it for me.

. Seriously, if I was in the area, or that side of the country. I'd do what it takes to make an appointment, show up, watch him build it and drive away that evening with a big stupid grin. Besides, then you can hammer it up the grades back toward SD!

Thats how I got mine, he ships it out in a plastic trans container. I picked mine up at the Fed-x dock, then you just that the core back to fed-x dock he has the bill their prepaid, and your done.

Spoke with Brian and Patty at BTS yesterday, $4100 then add the core. $5100. Will speak to Patty more on Monday. Brian stated the transmission would be shipped yesterday if he met the 5:00 deadline. If not, shipped Monday morning.
