I have a 1997 ford psd that is giving me a little trouble. Every once in a while I it will crank normally and hit but not start. After that I can crank until the cows come home and it will not start. If I shut it off and retry it will start fine, but I ge a check engine light. I had a local auto parts store do a scan and got the following codes.
The problem is not in cylinders 1 and 2. The problem would be there is not enough current going to bank 1 and 2. Are the batteries charged fully? I would try to let the GP's warm a bit longer before I started it. If it hits and doesn't start, turn ignition off and back on and let GP's warm for about a minute to a minute and a half then start.
Its sensing an out of range from the gpr to the gp's.
You have to ohm out the wiring from the gpr to/and the gp's.
As neal also states check batt voltage with gp's on.
Test input and output voltage on the gpr.
