Towing with or without overdrive ?
In my 98 F150 owners manual...concerning the towing section...it doesn't state to NOT tow with the overdrive on...it just kinduh" states that it's beneficial to have overdrive off while going up and down steep inclines for engine braking and such...if I tow strictly on flat highway's.....at 1/2 of my trucks payload or tow capacity.......should I worry about the overdrive button ?......the roads I tow on are flat and have a constant change of speed limit between 45 to 55 mph which is right where it want's to shift into 4th gear depending on the gas pedal pressure
