351w HO
What does the HO stand for and how much horsepower does it make. What is different on these engines than other 351w. What kind of compression should this motor have? Is it harder to rebuild? Thanks

351w HO
The "H.O." stands for high output.The 351 H.O. was produced between the years 1984 1/2-1987.The compression ratio was 8.8:1,although some reference manuals list it as 8.3:1.It was available in fullsize trucks&Broncos.Horsepower rating was generally 210 net ponies,but some manuals list it at 190 net.The differences were it had a Holley four barrel carb, a hotter cam,and dual exhaust from the factory.The 351 4V H.O. was replaced in 1988 by the EFI351.
