Brake problem

When I apply my brakes my truck like jumps it feels like.....I am putting on my new wheels and tires tomorrow and have new brake pads to put on both the front and back..should I replace the rotors also? What do you think is causing this? I do have a lifted truck on 37's with out having slotted rotor and I have bendix pads....any ideas?

Cut rotors, or replace if they are too thin.

You need to inspect the rotors and pads and replace if minimum thickness is not present. At a minimum, rotors need to be turned for new pads.. Turning rotors can improve braking but in the heavy SD can also increase likelyhood of warping once they are to thinner. Some recomend just going to new rotors. I would say with 37's and the issues you have, new rotors and pads are best, I would go with Cryo and Hawk pads if you dont want to do this on a regular basis. 2003 are notorious for this... The 2005 and up have slightly bigger rotors and this improved.

seems like it gets worse as the brakes get hotter....when I first leave the house they are fine, after using them a few times is when my problems start....

Yes, you probably will have to buy new, but a brake shop will be able to tell you if the existing rotors can be reused.

For me, I almost never have rotors resurfaced. They get thinner and are easier to warp. I think it is more economical in the long run to replace the rotors instead of turning them down. I will only turn a set of rotors if I know I will be selling the vehicle within 3 or so months.
