some have called it a filter blokage sensor but others say its on the fpr this is on the bottom rear of the filter housing
thanks for any and all help oh its a 95 ps
Here's the official name:
Fuel Filter Restricted sensor;
on filter housing 94/95;
on regulator block 96/97
(Ford) E8TZ-9S283-A
(International) 1809435c1
Same sensor...just located in different places. Some call it a Fuel filter Vacuum sensor. You don't need it if you are diligent about changing the filter. I've seen some pretty nasty looking filters and have not had the light on the dash come on.
All it is is just a vacuum operated switch that lights the "fuel filter" light on the dash. If you can remember to change the filter without an idiot light to remind you that it's time just replace it with a brass 1/8 NPT pipe plug. Just be carefull not to overtighten it or you can crack to fuel canister (or FPR on the 96-97's)
