Sorry, I just see the hitch pin as a questionable ****** point. It's little, and isn't designed to be under those types of forces, it's made for sheer forces, but that's another thread, another time.
I normally lave the Reese hitch in and through it right over the ball or through it on the goose neck hitch in the bed, I havent ever seen anything go wrong with a hitch pin though either. lol
i prefer somthing in the center of the vehicle......it evens the loads between each side of the frame, and having on the side can pull you weird during a ******....
