found cheap diesel
I reading my local newspaper on Friday that said the big trucks that have been hauling to and from Mexico have been taking andvantage of the cheap fuel prices there. I couldn't believe it so I crossed the border later that day and filled up both tanks for $58.00, that was at $2.12 a gallon. Good thing I'm only 5 minutes from the border cause from now on thats where I'm gonna be filling up.

sweet. must be nice. but how much of a pain is it to cross the border? and is this illeagal? i would assume texaslawman54 would know. just wondering though. but at 2.12 i would probably take that risk too.

yea it wouldnt be worth that trip from md. all the way down to Mexico just for fuel. unless, i owned an American truck stop with a fleet of tanker trucks. HEY i got an idea, who wants to help me start this new company. haha

It's not illegal, but the guy at the border claimed he could tell I was running Mexican diesel by the smell. I really can't tell a difference in the smell and i just told him i had topped off the tank. I talked with my dad the next day and he told me the news was saying they might want to put an import tax for people bringing in diesel in their auxlilary tanks. Kinda sux cause I was planning on buy one, think i will anyway and try until they really get tough.

was $1.50 2 weekends back when I went to talk to a guy at the pemex. He said he would not fill an auxiliary tank- only the factory tank.
My buddy fills up over there all the time, and he just ordered a transferflow for that reason.

Here in central Mexico is right now 2.18, but is not ULSD (UBA in Mexico) only LSD, but till I know in the border line to your country they sell now UBA diesel, but I dont know the price of that. By 2009 there will be UBA all over the country as Pemex said.

wait times depend where you cross. I went and crossed south or Roma into Miguel Aleman. 0 wait time to get across at that bridge and there are 2 very large Pemex stations right there.
