radiator support

How much different are the 80-86 radiator supports to the 87-89 supports? I'm still throwing the idea around about getting a front clip from a 87-89.

If you get a front clip, it will come with the radiator support. I would not try to buy everything separately. It would cost a fortune. When you get it, it will have the headlights, grille and everything.

I know Franklin but I haven't been able to find a whole front clip from a diesel, and the gas and diesel supports are different.

Look and see if any of these will fit the combination you are trying to fab up.

Prices not bad, but it is a part source and an FTE sponsor.

I know thats true, the one I did find was a 85, but im wanting the 87-89 front clip, I did find a crap load of those but none were diesels, thats why I wanted to know if the radiator supports were different.

I know didley squat about diesels, but I do know that the radiator is MUCH larger and I'd assume the radiator support would be different as well.....

The only reason I know the diesel is different, is I heard it from some of the guys in the pre-powerstroke diesel forum, and some snowplow kits will not fit a diesel because the support hangs down in the way.
