Hmmmn What's something I can just drop in and see some improvement in power, that an average joe can afford

headers long or short and good dual exhaust would be the first thing.

Oh i've got the dual exhaust thats was the first thing I did, I put in 40Series mufflers from Flowmaster

I just put longtube headers in mine - I can really tell a difference, especially on the low end.

Man I'll tell you what, get some shorty headers from a 5.0 mustang gt, I put some on my truck and it really helped my power AND gas mileage a bit. They're real easy to put on, only thing is you'll have to take it and get your existing pipes hooked up to 'em, which means OPEN HEADERS FOR A DAY AND HALF, at least that's what I did.

P.S.

they only cost about 60 dollars and that's for a good set, they're thick walled so no worry about cracks or rust, especially if you spray 'em down with some high temp. grill paint. Just get rid of those manifolds before they crack on ya.
