How much horsepower can stock rods from a 351w HO handle? Thanks

Others might have a different opinion, but it isn't horsepower that is the limiting factor on a stock set of rods. It's actually RPM's. It's hard to put an exact figure on how many RPM's a stock set of rods can take. Lighter weight pistons will help them take more, as will a good set of ARP rod bolts. 6000 RPM's is a pretty good speed not to exceed for any length of time with a stock set of rods on a 302. The longer stroke of the 351 may lower this "safe" speed a little bit.

If you didn't know the stock rod length is 5.596". I have been tring to find the answer to your question for a little while. I am setting up for a stroker motor. I want to do it right and run it for a while until "I decide when" to change things around on my engine. Not the other way around.
