Any one know where I can find a fuel line with the female end for my 87 2.9L bronco ii? This is the line that runs from the fuel filter to the pressure regulator on the fuel rail. I damaged the female fitting on the line.
The parts store told me I can not replace the fitting because the line has to much pressure to handle a clamp, is this true? Do I have to replace the whole line?
junk yard would be a good place. Why can't you use hose clamps? I used them on mine..right up front under the hood where the lines connect i had to use one.

I'd rather not use hose clamps. The fuel injection is a high presure system and if the connections are not secure it would be a fire hazard.
Ford had a lawsuit because of the way their fuel system was designed. Someone's car had caught on fire. (they had to redesign their system)
I myself have seen a Bronco II that caught on fire because someone
made their own setup.
I'd look for the same set up that you have now from a parts car or junk yard.

Reason: added more info
You can buy the parts needed to fix it from Advance, either the Motormite or Dorman, or from NAPA. You have to bring the part in to make sure you get the correct one.
