Transmission Needed

Hey I need help finding a working transmission for my 86 Bronco II,

I don't have any solid leads, but it might be nice to know if you are looking for an auto tranny or a manual tranny, and, if a manual, which manual tranny you need.

You want a $75 one from the scrappy or you want to upgrade for some $$$?

Sorry its a auto, right now i need something under 400 and in the jersey trystate area..
so far i only have one lead.. but he hasnt called me back

Why not rebuild the tranny. Most of the time, it is easier to deal with your own trannies problems, than to buy an unknown with a new set of problems. The replacement parts can be used to upgrade the tranny and make it sturdier.

Many Bronco IIs, Rangers, Explorers, and Aerostars make it to the scrap yard solely because the automatic transmission died. imho, A waste of money installing a used one. Mail order one from E-Bay or buy a rebuilt from Advance Auto.
