Ok heres the story.....I was driving down the road and the truck lost power so I pulled into a body shop and checked it out.I popped the hood and the tube with the foil wrapped around was off so I cleaned it all up and put a new clamp on and I thought I was good to go.Well now my check engine light is on.Any ideas?
Try and get your fault codes read.. could be a several reasons for the light.. If you live in large city, tell us and maybe someone here on the forum would come to your rescue... I heard of people going on ebay and buying a tuner (like diablo sport or superchip) 2nd hand just for the use of the scanner portion..
Do you have a chip or tuner on your truck? When you find out what code(s) you have let us know.
It would also be a good idea to check all the other boots (5 more) on your engine to see if any of them are loose. A little trick you may want to try with the tube that came off is to put a little hair spray on the tube before re-installing it back in the boot. It kind of acts like a primer and helps things stay together.
Did it again and got them cleared.Good to go now. Also did the foil delete while I had the pipe off.The 6637 filter is next as soon as my existing filter gets some use out of it.Thanks alot.Everyone is alot of help.
