Sorry for all the post. I can't post more than one picture at the moment. The last picture and the test sample on the right is leading me to believe it's the Glacier Blue colour, even the PPG sample colour for 53-54 looks like the colour on the right. So I have some thinking to do over the next couple of days. Cheers
I use Paint Shop Pro. I've been experimenting with it for some time, playing with all of the features. I copied the picture with the paint samples and sampled the colors into the color fill feature.
Thanks Bob still in the planning stage but plan on painting 51 purple with orange pin stripe or something applied in orange. I know you probly say UG-------LY colors but they were favorite colors of my two grandchildren that were murdered in 2002so it will be those colors, again thanks,Garry

Garry,
That's really a meaningful project. I wouldn't chose those colors for my trucks but I don't think it's really a bad combination, something like this?
Bob,yea it means a lot to me, thinking a darker purple with orange pin stripes something like your showing, purple grill but orange wheels with origanal caps and beautiful rings, whata you think?
Yep that appear to be Glacier Blue - it's a real pretty color. I think you're 53 would look fantastic in this color (althought we are certainly going to miss the classic paint job you have now)
When I posted the car pictures I noticed that the Glacier Blue is one of those colors that changes shades when inside or out. Your one picture with the snow does that too.
When I looked at your paint samples, I thought the lighter was a little too pink - and still do. The darker one is the correct HUE (it is in the color family) it's just a little too dark. I would be willing to bet if you took your darker color and asked them if they could lighten it up, it would almost be a perfect match to the pictures of the cars and trucks here. Also, in my search I found out that there is another "Glacier Blue" on som emore modern cars (70s/80s) that is dark like a royal or sapphire blue. I just thought I'd pass that so you and who ever you order from know which Glacier Blue you are talking about (53 Ford Truck).
Sandiande when the test samples had a couple of days to dry the lighter blue sample is coming on to be the much the colour I want. The darker blue is suppose to be the actual colour in which I agree with could be made a little lighter.
Dan, looks like you are differnately having fun with my colour samples, keep it up, I am having some interesting thoughts running through this empty head of mind.lol
Interesting thing too....I deleted the last set of photo's I doctored up to make room for the new and they dissappeared out of the reply I did yesterday!
