my grandad got mine at a local hardware store (Dans, I think he sells for hammerhead)

I got the diesel FORD home. Poured some ATF in it and drove it up on the trailer. Its leaking from the pan and main seal. I think that it at some point overheated and melted th seals, but am not sure. Right now I cant get it to engage to back it off the trailer so its stuck there till tomorrow.

Tossed the keys to the wife for the day. She had to make an early morning feed run. Gonna get that temp gauge working this weekend and see about advancing my timing a bit.

I'm almost halfway through replacing a broken rear leafspring hanger. Still gotta get the rest of the rivets out and the leafspring bolt. Then put new ATS parts back in.

Well the steering box was so bad I was getting death wobble. Feels like new now.

Thats good to know that the 3M lense restore works good. I like Crystal View in the silver foil bag.

From what you said, I think you have a nice exhaust setup, except for the muffler. I can't stand the hollow sound of Blowmaster. That thing would sound mean with a Dynomax Race Bullet straight through muffler on it.
My Uncle has the Original 40 Series Flowmaster's and I don't like the sound so much. But, I do like the sound of the Super44's.

I hate to tell you this, but the Silverstar bulbs are tinted and actually produce less usable light than Xtravision and GE Nighthawk. They just appear whiter. If you ask me these type of tinted or colored bulbs should not be allowed on vehicles. They do not work well in rain and fog etc. Clear bulbs produce more usable light and are better. I'd return the Silverstar and get your money back. They will give you a refund. At least the gave me one on bulbs that i had had for quite a while. I just told them that I didn't like them.

If you want brighter headlights get the relay harness from LMC or Ebay for 9007 bulbs.
I do have 9007's. Would you recommend the Nighthawk or Nighthawk Platinum? The Platinums have a blue ring around them near the tip of the bulb. I wonder what that does.

The KN intake is just a hot air intake and is not helping your truck at all. If you really want a performance filter get AEM or AFE dry non oiled filters. I would go back to the stock air box and filter. The factory setup gets cooler air already. I had the KN intake on 2 different vehicles and will never do it again. Both ran worse and got worse fuel economy. Also the quality was lousy especially on the FIPK for my truck. It didn't seal up so it was allowing dirt in. In my opinion they are junk. I will never buy anything from them again.

Sorry for the rant on these products, but I just wanted to share from my experiences.
No apologies necessary. I appreciate the input.

As for what I did..

EGR coolant line started leaking(small crack at rad end). Pulled it off and the coolant was NASTY in it.. Took it to the hose to wash it out and it was completely clogged with some black chit.. Cut the bad end off and reinstalled.

Checked oil, trans fluid, and coolant. All is good.

pulled it off the trailer. trans is not catching at all, so its all dead. Its E so not a vacuum problem, and it has fluid (2.5-3 pints, should at least catch). right now its just sitting at the barn waiting on a trans.

Changed theoil in the differential of the Chevy (haven't done that in the 10 years I've owned it) out for some nice new Amsoil. walked over to the 97 F-250 and pulled the plugs on both of differentials. Should be drained by tommorrow and I'll be able to fill those up to. I figure since it's down and waiting on a Cummins I might as well do some maintenance stuff on the parts that will remain Ford.

I'll try again...what is wrong with the E3's? (Yes I searched but no luck)

As for what I did today...U-Joints. The toughest part was getting the T-40 bolts out.
