New MSD Streetfire ignition coil. After this tank is used up we'll see what the numbers are gonna be. It does feel pretty responsive at the butt dyno. Also I was wondering if some of you guys could explain the vaccuum gauge thing from a couple pages back. I'm confused. (Noob.) Haha.
Stared at my truck continually cussing that I have to drive my Chevy, then said what the heck, it was my first truck. The vaccuum gauge thing is simple, watch it and keep it as high as you can, the more vaccuum, the better mileage, means you're keeping your foot out of it.
Installed a remote starter. Removed an alarm that didn't work, and was installed very poorly (bare wires under the dash everywhere...lucky the truck didn't burn to the ground) Next is to upgrade the stereo, hopefully wasn't installed by the guy that did the alarm.
Put it to bed for the winter...........
The Ranger is SO much better in snow than the F-250, its not even funny.
Besides, if some idiot slides into the Ranger, body works easy and its not the biggest loss if it too bad to keep on the road.
I started my truck today twice........... @ 30degF with no block heater assistance thats right my 6.9l diesel 250. I repaired the the little dribble from the fuel filter and purged the air from it and WOW it starts and stays running I am very happy now.
Plus as a side note I also adjusted the doors so they close correctly and do not require slamming.

You running auto or manual plugs? And 30 is easy, try -5 after sitting at 15 or below for a straight week. Last winter I was firing up at 20 on six plugs and no heater, I think I heard the batteries scream for mercy once or twice And that ain't nothing to some folks from Kanadia... lol
Changed the oil and filter and noticed my lifter cover gasket is starting to weep oil. I also cleaned up the battery terminals and plan to do a coolant system flush this weekend.
The vacuum gauge is a great diagnostic tool and load meter. I've had a dash mounted one for years and try to keep it as high as possible when driving. At idle mine reads a steady 20" and it reads 10" at a 70 mph cruise on a level road. A very slight throttle change can vary the reading by 5" or more.
I like it and my 8 year old Grandson thinks its cool. That alone would be reason enough to keep it.
Happy Thanksgiving

pulled the head of my 1995 f150 4.9 in about an hour and waitin for the new one to come in so i can finish it up and start driving it instead of this gas guzzlin dodge hunk of $-H-!-T
I put in a '93 gauge cluster with a factory tach. Tach worked great, tested it against my digital timing light. However (comma) there is a short in it somewhere as my voltage dropped to 12.8. So I put my '95 cluster back in. Sigh, can't have nothin' nice.
