86, Do thay still make bed rugs for are gen trucks? i thought i saw a post i year ago on nloc about that !

 

I installed full cab sound deadner and installed POLK component speakers in the doors.

 

Sounds sweet. How big of a difference does the sound deadening make?

 

Big difference... especially with new radio / speakers.
cut down on road noise majorly.

You really went all out with the sound deadening. I bet it's really nice in the cab now.

 

Was that a kit?

 

No kits, all done in my garage w/ a couple beers.
Used roofing sheet metal for speaker crossover panels covered with sound deadner material.

 

Got the sound deadner from Rick @ RAAM audio. Comes in 15" panels.

How did it do at cutting out wind and tire noise?

 

Looks good. I sound deadened mine not that long ago too. Only did the doors and back wall for now. Makes a nice difference. Another thing is add some more weather stripping to the doors to seal off wind noise at highway speeds.

 

Swore at it when the replacement door handle broke after only two weeks.

 

Sorry to hear that. Guess it was the interior door handle because I ordered one and have not installed it yet. It looks flimsy. Where did you get it?
