I wouldn't use anything. That junk gets in your injectors, you're toast.

Just make sure the adapters & tube nuts are nice & tight against the O-rings. Check them for the next few days after a couple heat cycles.

Well, you definitely don't want them loose -- I didn't get 'em tight enough and I had to replace the O-rings. That high pressure oil cuts like a knife at 3000psi...

I used just a little bit of thread sealer. Not on the part that screws into the block, Kris told me that it would not be a good idea to use it there. I used it on the other side where the line threads on. I haven't had a leak. Just take your time, big hands in small places don't mix well. I also found it easier to install if you remove the first section of the intake hose so you will have more room to work.

This install is a piece of cake. You will be done so fast you will feel cheated and want to install something else.

haha lets hope so, well thanks for all the replies, i was concerend about the part that screws into the block, not the tube with the flared ends and nut on that, but it seems no sealant or thread locker is nessecary. thats all i needed to know

It's not really a highjack.
It balances the high pressure oil rails so they are exactly the same pressure.
The pressure sensor is on the driver's side and the PCM simply assumes that the same pressure exists on the passenger side.
The HPX provides a passage for the two rails to balance out and you can then be assured that everything is getting the same amount of high pressure oil.

Wink

Do as the instructions say with the removable lock tight just a drop will do then you won't have to re-do. Yep you gussed it "I don't need no stinking instructions"
Then re-check as stated above
Then you will look like this
