I did a search and did not see anything on this. So, here goes...
My factory power tow mirrors stopped working with no prior issues or warning. As far as I can tell, it is the only thing not operating. I read through the manual to determine which fuse and checked it. The fuse looks fine and other accessories on that fuse are still working. I rule out motor due to it being both sides. Perhaps the switch?
Never heard of this happening. I would have to guess that if both quit, either power wire to the switch or the switch it self. Is there power getting to the switch?
Even though it looks good, try swapping the fuse with another one or a new one. Otherwise, it has to be the switch or the switch wiring. Let us know what you find.

Good point Justin. I'll put the meter on the switch first chance I get. I can also check to see if current is passing thru the switch while it's out.
And the solution, at least for my truck is to replace the entire circuit panel inside the door. It is a dealer part and probably not cheap. You have to remove the small panel on top of the door (carefully) to access it and it just pulls out. My driver window switch is messed up as well so I need to do this repair before vacation. Hope this helps. According to the mechanic this is very common on the SD's.
