Okay towards the end of the year when I get my strike bonus check im going to sink it into a new 460 long block for my 89' f250, But I have no way of knowing who I should go through that builds quality long blocks so the local shop could order for me. So any of you with ideas for me to check out would be appreciated. I have one that im looking into its Precision Engine in Houston.

Check with some long time boatyards in your area, you might score a complete new 1970's 460 engine, and I mean complete: intake manifold, 4V Holley carb, dizzy, starter, the whole tamale. This is not a smog engine, either.
The last price on these puppies was roughly $1800.00 at the parts counter.
These engines were bought by the thousands for builders of drag/ski boats, and there's gotta be a few still around somewhere.
If you can score one, take the heads off (a lot of the ones Bill is talking about were DOVE headed engines) and you can sell them as NOS take offs probably get a good chunk back on them, at least enough to redo the FI heads from your current engine with good parts, swap them on and your good to go.
