It said "it looked as if". They/he didn't actually see it fall. He also had wondered if it may have been part of a robbery gone bad which to me indicates he had no idea how it actually got there and could only surmise the possible scenarios.
i still cant figure out how that happens, you have a job of picking up money and putting it in the vehicle. its not like a desk job where you forgot to call someone back
I would turn it in. I lost a hundred bucks one time, and it was returned to me, and that made the difference whether my wife and I could go to her Mom and Dads for Christmas.
When I was 16, I found a purse on the road. While trying to find id of the owner, I found over $700 in cash in the purse. Found the owner and returned everything. Man, that would have been mucho denero for me 31 years ago. It felt good to return it................................................ .................. until I did not even get a thank you.
I would spend most of it on beer and women, then blow the rest.
Take it to a high place downtown and slice er open.
Spend it, as long as it's not new sequential bills, that they can trace and get fingerprints off of.
Give it back? Hell no! What has a bank done for you lately? I'd spend $40 bucks of my own money on a shredder to shred it before I'd give it back to a bank.
I'm not so sure I wouldn't have just left it and let if be someone else's trouble. I found a wallet a couple of years ago while I was out riding my bicycle. I picked it up, and opened it to see if it had a drivers license or any identification. It did. I could see credit cards and some cash, but I did not want to even touch it. So rather than digging through it to see if I could find a phone number, I decided to just ride up to the police station. They were closed of course. So I called a dispatcher to have a patrol meet me to give them the wallet to deal with. In the back of my head I was thinking what if the person it belonged to was victim of something? Maybe not a robbery, but worse? I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible.
When the cop showed up he started asking basic stuff about where it was found. No problem there, but the questions kept coming. Then the paperwork and needing all of my personal information. Then his surprise and doubt that I had not counted the money before bringing it in. I really felt like I was being treated as a thief. Right then and there I decided if I ever found another wallet, I'd probably let someone else find it.
I would have had to give it back. My rule is if you can figure out who it belongs to fairly quick, give it back to them. If your walking in the mall with the woman, and see a 20 laying on the ground, pick it up and stick it in your pocket cause you will never be able to figure out who it came from.
when i was doing plumbing a long time ago! i was in a customers basement trying to find a smell.(sewer smell) they had a drop ceiling!I looked up there w/flashlight and saw a wallet.it was up there for sometime because the mice were eating on it.well i told the lady and gave it to her,she was so happy they had been looking for (the money) for years!anyway i got a $20.00 tip! that made my day!
This cute girl walking down the street had a five hanging out her back pocket, close to falling out; I watched it for a while (the five, of course) then told her she was about to lose it.
I coulda swore I put $200k in that bag beforehand-
It would be a hard decision, but the decision you make in that situation is the greatest tell of your character-
