He probably saved the armored truck drivers job. After seeing the movie A Simple Plan, I'd probably turn it in

Holy *****!
"Passers-by said it looked as though a guard left the bag on the truck's bumper, and it fell off the bumper as the truck rounded the corner".
At least it wasn't like forgetting a child on the roof of the car while being in their kid carrier.
That is an honest person!
That's only a 1.5% finder and return fee though! Cheap ba$tard$!
Sometimes it's not just about greed.
$140k can make a difference and change peoples lives.

All said, getting 2000 bucks for being honest is not bad.
I'm surprised there were not multiple injuries sustained if indeed "witnesses" saw a bag fall off the bumper of an armored truck.

I would have asked for 20% finders/reward fee.
And if they said 'no', then I would have given them the money back; the whole $100,00.
Honestly, I would have sat on it for awhile to see what would have transpired.
Probably given it back
(most of it) .

There's a bunch of folks here at work debating this today...
What's to debate?

And finding is finding. I don't know what I would do.

IMHO, that doesn't qualify as "finding".

Keeping it would make a person a thief especially if you knew who it belonged to.
