Question Where does that diesel come from ???

I use allot of Quick Trip fuel here in the midwest and have had no problems . I would like to know where the crude comes from that they make the diesel out of. Does anyone know where to get this information or who there supplier is.

If they are like everyone else they get it on the open market. That means that whenever they buy crude they buy it from whoever has the best price that day.

It is very had to determine where the crude oil might come from as the finished product will travel thousands of miles in pipelines or ship to get here. Good question and I hope someone has a definate answer.

Too funny!

Honestly, does it really matter where the crude comes from when the difference in the fuel quality is controlled at the refinery? It's not like one type of dinosour burns better than another.

No, but you might say diesel is medium-rare when it comes to the refining process.

Yes It matters where it comes from...there is heavy crude that your oils and oil fuels come from , and then there's light sweet crude, that is your gasoline and high end oils.
The Saudi's big oil field is 26 miles wide and 105 miles long, found in 1936 by engineers from ShellOil...stupid fugs, to stupid to find it themselves now look at them... We have Oil...but with the EPA, forget it..until a President with some ***** starts to back them down..oh ya the depth of SAUDI OIL FIELD is never been public knowledge as far as I could find out....

Interesting,,,, amazing what you can learn here.

The reason, or one of them, that fuel prices are so high is due to our limited refining capacity. We can't keep up with demand. Again, the EPA is to blame because they won't issue permits to build new ones.
