Guage Install ???????????

Hey guys... I just got my Autometer kit... I got a heck of a deal on it... I got the Ultra Lite gauges and pod for $245. I got a black pod instead of a grey one like I ordered, but they are trying to sort that out tomorrow... I'm going to get the wiring done tomorrow while they sort out the pod color issue !!!!

Anyways,..... Could someone please advise me of the best place to put the boost and the best place to put the EGT probe ??? A picture would be awsome !!! Should I put my boost in the MAP hose like they say to do...????? Thats probably the easiest place !!

They didn't include hardly any wiring in this kit and poor instructions.. I'll have to make most of the wiring up myself !! I got some instructions of the net !!! Oh well... It will be nice when its in !! Thanks for the help guys !!!

RussB, here is a link to the guage install. It is from ITP Diesel. That is where I got my set and the one for my brother. The paint issue is easily remedied with a can of the right paint. That will be located in the info tag in your doorframe. I just did guages on my bros truck last weekend and the install was as smooth as silk. The boost can be installe din your Map sensor tube/Overboost Annhilator or in to an AIH delete plug with the boost fitting option.

The ITP diesel kit sounds like it's awsome.. well put together !!! Wish I got that one !!! By the sounds of it.. they give you a pod that replaces the stock one instead of going over the stock one with a thin POS like I've got !!! Wish I knew that before I got it !!!

Those links are good.... I'll have to make up all the wiring harness that ITP gives you... but I'll get it done !!! Back to the store tomorrow for a bunch of wire and connecters if I don't have any here !!

Yeah, both my kits were shell covers where you had to pin them to the originals. Works fine.

Has anyone tried the overhead pod... I was thinking I should put a dual pod up there with a couple more gauges in it.... I'm worried that with all the off-road driving I do it will come down on my head... Its velcroed up there for Sh*& sakes !!!!!

They are both for the water injection. One when the system is armed, and another when it is spraying.
