New to OBS

New to OBS
Well...I am fling down to pick up another truck next week....'97cc 2wd auto.I went from a '03 v10(gas hog)to a '00 7.3(trans recently went out at 250k).So I am getting this one for a back-up....I haul for a living.
So any tips or suggestions on the OBS would be greatly appreciated(I am sure I will throw out some questions also).The truck has 300k on it so I am kinda skeptical about doing upgrades(one owner miles....but has never towed alot with it....no GN ever installed on it)
Iv read on the 10k mod and the cheap intake mod(?)....getting ready to read c00n trans mod.......and I will go on from there.

Welcome to the OBS club. Like Roentgeep said your on the right track. One thing to look for on the truck before buying is pull the intake tubing off the turbo and make sure the compressor wheel is in good shape with not signs of sandblasting. If it is beware of cylinder damage from poor air filtering.
