For those of you that have installed exhaust systems at your homes have you elevated the truck in any way such as with ramps or jacks. Any advice would be appreciated.
i didn't either time. just broke out the sawzall and hacked off the stock system. it can be done by yourself, but a second hand for the downpipe makes it a lot easier. much less cursing with a partner. there should be plenty of room to work underneath, but a lift would help. i did it in a gravel driveway both times. i didn't even take the time to put down cardboard. my back had some crazy impressions when i was done, but i would have taken me longer to locate some big boxes to cut up, than it did to remove and install. took me about an hour.
Did mine in the driveway with on and off rain because i couldn't wait. I just drove up on some scrap 4x8 inch wood to get some extra clearance on the front and wala, just enough room to work.
Same here, but I am pretty skinny. I take that back, I USED to be pretty skinny. Now I am just smaller than most.
Yea, but when you got running boards and a sagging front end it helps out for stockier people, buy the way sflem, i owe you and a couple of guy,s rep points for helping me out on past posts. sorry.
just did mine this past weekend and did it on a lift was actually a pain haveing to go up and down to loosen and tighten the downpipe might be easier to install on the ground and yes having a friend help with the downpipe is a plus.
