Need Help with Head Installation 400
Hello. I have a 1972 Ford LTD Conv. that has a 400 and I had the heads rebuilt. I cleaned up everthing and torqued the heads down with Exh and placed the intake deck on and noted center of both heads had a hole (water I think) visible at the top side of both sides of the deck. I proceeded to torgue all bolts down and fired it up. White smoke out the back and strange sounds when shutting off...water doing something - internal. Did I place the heads on the wrong sides? Left spark plugs point back....right spark plugs point forward.
